Duaa Alshumari

Biography

Duaa Alshumari is an undergraduate student at Wayne State University, majoring in public health and neuroscience while minoring in psychology on the pre-medical track. Some of her research interests span across molecular neurobiology, cognitive and behavioral neuroscience, and oncology. Motivated by a passion for enhancing healthcare, Duaa chose to be a part of the IDEA project to find ways to better understand and improve the treatment and admittance of care for emerging adults managing type 1 diabetes. In her free time, she finds interest in various forms of art, literature, and exploration, particularly drawn to exploring nature and the vast universe.
