Biography

Marie Zarycky is an undergraduate student at Wayne State University, pursuing a major in Public Health and a minor in Biological Sciences. With aspirations of attending medical school, Marie is deeply passionate about the intersection of research and healthcare innovation. Motivated by her grandfather’s experience with diabetes, she has joined the IDEA Project to contribute to the advancement of diabetes intervention and patient care management. Beyond her academic pursuits and volunteer work, Marie finds joy in reading, cooking, and playing soccer. Marie's commitment to healthcare improvement, coupled with her love for Detroit's dynamic environment, positions her as a promising advocate for medicine, research, and community wellness initiatives.
